Switzerland's third-largest canton is characterised by its extensive alpine territory. The diverse and productive agriculture is the result of the sunny climate, which attracts gourmets from all over the world. Even the famous raclette is said to have been invented in the Valais and, along with dried meat and rye pastries, is the best-known Valais speciality. Water is not only used in the Valais in frozen form. Wellness-ready thermal water flows from the depths of the mountains, stimulating the circulation and relaxing the muscles.
