The group youth hostel in Château-d’Oex is embedded in a wonderful natural landscape. A perfect base for school, cultural and sports camps. The guests of the youth hostel can find various leisure activities nearby. The Saane invites you to build stone men or to gaze at the waterfall after a relaxing hike. The entrance to the ski area with 195 km slopes is 8 km away from the house (Rougemont, La Videmanette). Accessible by car/coach within 15 min or by train in 20 - 30 min.
Rougemont-La Videmanette
The gondola will take you from the village of Rougemont up to the summit of La Videmanette at 2100 metres. Here you can enjoy not only child-friendly slopes but also a breathtaking view of the Bernese Alps.
The slopes are designed so that both beginners and advanced skiers and freeriders get their money's worth.
The ski area is suitable for children and therefore very popular with school groups.
