Seminar and guest house Waldhaus

The historic buildings of the former seminar hotel in Emmental have been revitalised and used by a community project since 2022. Part of the renovated buildings will continue to be rented out as a guest house, course and seminar venue.
We rent out a cosy dormitory with 8 beds and a bathroom (2 more double rooms can be booked by arrangement). This is particularly suitable for families, groups of friends or small seminar groups. There is also a lounge (with separate entrance) with equipped self-catering kitchen and cosy sofa corner (shared by the community as a passageway).
The historic dance hall and the cathedral (large wooden dome with a light-coloured outer shell), both with wooden floors, can be booked separately. These rooms are particularly suitable for seminars, dancing, singing, making music, yoga...
In addition, our biodiversity oasis offers plenty of space to play, linger and make a fire, as well as a natural clay sauna, which can also be hired. Right next door is a farm and a market garden with a famous dahlia show (August - October)
The Emmental offers many cycling tours, hiking trails, cultural and leisure activities.
