Our house offers pure camp life, without dishwasher and without WLAN. The "Vereinsheim Nördli" is located in an idyllic high valley between Urnäsch and Appenzell at 940 metres above sea level on the southern slope of the Hundwiler Höhe. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, mountain biking, walking and strolling. In winter, the ski slopes, cross-country ski trails (classic and skating) and snowshoe trails lure you out of the house.

The skiing area Ebenalp offers two ski lifts (Gartenwald-Ebenalp and Gartenalp-Chlus). Another ski lift is after the 3.5 km long valley descent in Schwende.
Ebenalp also provides a paradise for children with a magical carpet, kid`s lifts and more.

Wir haben eine sehr gute Zeit im Nördli verbracht. Das Haus ist top ausgestattet, alles war wie aufgelistet vorhanden und in sehr gutem Zustand, die Umgebung lädt zu diversen Aktivitäten ein und der Hüttenwart war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein ideales Haus für Sekundarklassen, die selbst kochen möchten (die Küche ist eher klein) und Aktivitäten im und ums Haus planen. Die Anreise funktionierte mit der Appenzeller Bahn ebenfalls einwandfrei, inkl. gut zehn Minuten Fussmarsch zum Haus. Die Bäckerei im Dorf versorgte uns täglich mit frischem Brot.
