The Berghaus Planalp - the place for hikers, mountaineers and those seeking peace and quiet. Away from mass tourism, without electricity, but with plenty of mountain cosiness, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time.

PLAN your ALP AUSZEIT at 1346 metres above sea level in a nostalgic room or dormitory.

Enjoy a 3-course dinner at sunset with an indescribable view of Lake Brienz from our arbour by candlelight and petrol lamps. On warm summer evenings we also barbecue in the garden. How do you round off the evening on the alp afterwards? The Plan Alp people know! In the mountain bar - the centrepiece of your host Dres Flück, whose passion for the Planalp and countless whiskies casts a spell over you. At 22:00 (with a few exceptions) it's quiet here - you've probably already planned one of the many attractive, beautiful hikes for the next day! We know the Planalp and the Brienzergrat like the back of our hand and will be happy to give you information or the odd insider tip. On request, we also offer guided hikes away from the crowds. With LED lanterns and on chilly days with a warm flask, you make your way across creaking floors to your room. The sound of cowbells will wake you up the next day for an energising breakfast.
