Not accessible by car (The material cable car is located about 5-10 minutes on foot outside of Chironico, into the valley (Val Chironico), at the small river Ticinetto. Of the two cable cars, it is the first one that leads to Doro, seen from the village. Load your luggage there, tie it up and cover it with plastic in rainy weather - the farmers will let it up to Doro at the agreed time.)
by foot (From the car park at the back of the valley the steep footpath to Doro begins, there is no road. After about 10-20 minutes the path splits at the second chapel house. On the left the official hiking trail leads via Cala to Doro - this takes a little longer and is less steep. On the right or straight ahead is the direct way to Doro. In winter you have to be careful on this path, because it is often icy at the rocky outcrop (shortly after the junction).)
