Salouf (1,258 metres above sea level) is located near Savognin on a terrace on the eastern slope of Piz Toissa (2657m) on the left above the Julia valley floor. The village of around 200 inhabitants is characterised by Walser houses dating back to the 13th century, some of which are like residential towers, as well as houses from the 17th and 18th centuries that are impressive in terms of style and dimensions.
Ziteil, the highest church in Europe, is located in the municipality of Salouf. The pilgrimage church with pilgrims' house is situated at an altitude of 2,429 metres above sea level.

The old schoolhouse (Scola viglia) in Salouf was built towards the end of the 19th century. The building was used as a schoolhouse until the 1960s, then for a few years as troop accommodation and finally as group accommodation with 22 beds until today.

The Scola viglia has been completely renovated since 2013 and presents itself in a cosy ambience.

The skiing area Savognin offers wide ski runs in all levels of difficulty, as well as the children's ski paradise La Nars.
There is also a large free ride area and many winter hiking trails.

80 km of slopes, 4 km from the house. Accessible by car, coach or post bus. Post bus stop 3 minutes walk from the house. (With the guest card, the scheduled post bus trips to and from Savognin can be used free of charge). Groups can be transported directly to the mountain railways by special transport and by prior arrangement.
